In the latest example of fandom, there is an alligator with mysterious orange skin that has been hanging out this week at Tanner Plantation in Hanahan, South Carolina. The 4.5 ft (1.3m) long creature has also been seen nonchalantly ambling around the Tanner Plantation neighbourhood.

"Trump's pet alligator", one commenter said.

Jay Butfiloski, alligator program coordinator for the Department of Natural Resources, says the color probably comes from living in a rusty pipe during the winter months. "He's the color of rust".
