Two-time FIFA Player of the Year and USA national team star Carli Lloyd is set to sign a short-term contract to play with Manchester City in the FA Women's Super League, sources confirmed to ESPN FC.
"I'm incredibly excited to be joining Manchester City, a club which is leading the development of women's football both on and off the pitch", Carli Lloyd, 34, said in a February 15 statement that confirmed the signing, according to Goal.
Lloyd will wear her usual number 10 shirt for City and will begin training with her new reigning Women's Super League champion teammates next month.
"This is a unique opportunity and I couldn't be prouder to be part of the club here in Manchester".
