President Donald Trump has accused former President Barack Obama of tapping his phones at Trump Tower before the election.

Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said in a statement that Mr. Trump was making "the most outlandish and destructive claims without providing a scintilla of evidence to support them".

"You make up something and then you have the press write about it, and then you say, 'everybody's writing about this charge, '" she said. Trump affiliates, including Pence, had backed Flynn's claims.
