Planned Parenthood Rejects Donald Trump's Offer To Stop Providing Abortion Services

Planned Parenthood is being threatened by Donald Trump and the Republicans because yes, they do provide abortion counseling as part of their full range of medical services for women and they do perform some abortions, although the abortion procedures are NOT paid for with any government funds.

But in the Maryland General Assembly, the Democratic leadership declared its support Wednesday for bills that would direct $2 million from the state's Medicaid budget and another $700,000 from the state's general fund to family planning services they say help about 25,000 state women.

"This is for patients who rely on us/ We're often the only healthcare provider they'll see all year", said Judy Tabar, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England.

When the details of the Republican's mediocre replacement for Obamacare was released Monday evening, one could spot the fingerprints of Speaker of the House Paul Ryan all over it - most prominently in the provision which would defund Planned Parenthood on a national scale.

Stocks Creep Higher After Blowout ADP Jobs Report
As for the most closely watched headline number in the report, the jobless rate likely remained close to January's 4.8%. A new and more comprehensive report on employment is expected to be released by the federal government March 10.

During the campaign period, Trump had spoken favorably about Planned Parenthood's work, saying millions of women have benefited from its services such as cancer screenings.

Trump, who in 1999 declared himself "very pro-choice", said during the presidential campaign previous year that he had evolved on the issue and abortions should be banned except in instances of rape or incest of the woman. They are LGBTQ people who found in Planned Parenthood the first or only health care provider to treat them with compassion and without judgment.

The Post noted that, while some Planned Parenthood affiliates sometimes host "free mammography mobile vans" for low-income or uninsured women, no affiliates have mammogram machines in their clinics.

"They're not about women's health care, it's the biggest lie since the tobacco industry said tobacco is healthy", Rose says.

USA anti-missile system's deployment underway in S.Korea
The test took place days after the United States and South Korea kick-started massive military drills, known as Foal Eagle 2017. The deployment came a day after North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un fired four test missiles towards Japan.

Richards made clear that the federal money, which she said are from Medicaid reimbursements for health care services, does not go towards abortion services. On top of that, 1 in 5 women is said to have visited Planned Parenthood in their lifetime.

The news of the Trump administration's proposal comes after Trump proclaimed throughout the election that Planned Parenthood would be lose its federal funds if it continues to conduct abortions.

If you follow the logic of not reimbursing Planned Parenthood, then the government programs should not be reimbursing any doctor or facility that provides abortions.

The proposal was rejected by Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). If it passes, people on Medicaid who go to their local clinics for birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, and well-woman exams would no longer have their treatments covered.
