They're trying to shop Brock Osweiler.
Sources tell the Associated Press the Texans are trading the quarterback to the Cleveland Browns.
At one point in the season, during December, he was removed from the starting lineup, and was a backup for Tom Savage. In the Texans' divisional round playoff loss to the Patriots, he threw one touchdown and three interceptions while completing just 57.5 percent of his passes for 197 yards.
Along with the second-round pick, the Texans are sending 2017 sixth-round pick to Cleveland, while all Houston gets in return is Cleveland's 2017 fourth-round pick.

Bronson Koenig is leading the team with 14.2 points per game while Ethan Happ is adding 13.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest. The Wolverines withstood the Gophers rally, but still needed to figure out what they wanted to do offensively with Wagner out.
In December, Griffin said he felt like he could still be the Browns' quarterback of the future. But according to Cleveland.com's Terry Pluto, the Browns never had any plans to dump Osweiler shortly after acquiring him, and more than that, the team preferred Osweiler to Griffin, partly because Griffin struggled to stay healthy.
The Browns have two picks in the 1st round of the 2017 NFL Draft (#1, #12 via Eagles from QB Carson Wentz trade) and two picks in the 2nd round (#33, #52).

Just like that, the Texans admitted their mistake with Osweiler and moved on with the least amount of damage: a sunk $37 million in Osweiler and a 2018 second round pick. The move will save Houston $10 million in cap space this season.
The Browns are even willing to eat some of Osweiler's 2017 salary.
The Browns are - and have been - Garoppolo's biggest suitor, and for good reason: Cleveland doesn't have the best track record when it comes to drafting quarterbacks in the first round.
Fast-forward one year and Osweiler has suffered a somewhat stunning fall from grace. The Texans are in the market to upgrade the position in free agency or through a trade, and there's a strong chance they'll take a run at Tony Romo, who is expected to be traded or released by the Dallas Cowboys.
