Nintendo Switch sales are off to a roaring start

Nintendo has always catered to home and portable gamers alike, as well as both adults and children. Zelda fans purchased more than 925,000 copies of the game on the Switch, as well as almost 460,000 copies for the Wii U. With total sales of 1.3 million, Breath of the Wild is the "fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time, as well as the fastest-selling game ever in The Legend of Zelda series".

To that point, "Breath of the Wild" was also a sales monster. As of this writing, Switch is sold out at all online retailers.

This makes the new Zelda game the fastest-selling Nintendo launch title in its 30-year history.

Kier Group plc's (KIE) "Buy" Rating Reaffirmed at Berenberg Bank
The stock was acquired at an average cost of GBX 2 ($0.03) per share, with a total value of £1,958.12 ($2,464.59). Among 20 analysts covering General Electric Company ( NYSE:GE ), 11 have Buy rating, 2 Sell and 7 Hold.

All that said, a software-to-hardware sales ratio over 100 percent doesn't seem to pass the smell test on first glance. The company attributed that to people buying a limited edition version of the game to collect and another to play on the console.

We think the vagaries of sales estimation methods may have something to do with it as well. The company cited data from NPD Group, an industry tracker.

Nintendo plans to announce its worldwide sales and other financial information on April 27.

Champions League: Real Madrid, Atletico For Semi Finals
Bayern were left incensed, though, as Ronaldo's second and third goals were clearly offside. And Vidal was less than impressed with Kassai's performance at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But what about Breath of the Wild's insane 102% attach rate on the Switch? With the game being added to the Nintendo Switch library, it will surely give the console its much needed boost, not that there is a dire need for it.

Even considering the Switch's high sale numbers-over 906,000 in the U.S.in March alone-analysts are already predicting a new "mini" variation of the hybrid console could be on the market in the next two years.

Nintendo needed a hit after its previous console, the Wii U, flopped.

Christians ring in Easter
As many as 60,000 gathered in Rome to hear Pope Francis' Easter Sunday message decrying the attack on civilians in Syria. Knights of the Holy Sepulchre attend the Easter Sunday procession in Jerusalems Old City on April 16, 2017.

A research firm, the NPD Group, tracks the United States gaming industry suggested that the game company sold more of its popular games for the Switch than the units of hardware itself.
