Drake to Host First-Ever NBA Awards

The NBA never held an awards show, but the player's union attempted to produce their own in 2015 and it never gained traction.

Of course, Drake is a huge basketball fan and seems to pride himself in buddying around with NBA stars, so he was probably more than willing to host this event.

The NBA revealed plans behind its first-ever awards show last November, and now the league has landed a host for the evening: Drake.

Drake, 30, previously leaked he would serve as the host and producer of the awards show in a January appearance on Kentucky coach John Calipari's podcast.
