Police use murdered woman's Fitbit records to arrest her husband

Richard Dabate, 40, was arrested earlier this month for the alleged murder of 39-year-old Connie Dabate at their home in Ellington, Connecticut, according to a police report obtained by PEOPLE.

A masked intruder barged into his CT home, he said, tied up and tortured him and - when his wife came home - shot and killed her.

But court papers show that data from the home's alarm system, computers, cellphones and Connie Dabate's Fitbit tell a different story.

A murdered woman's FitBit data led CT police to arrest her husband in connection with the death, the Hartford Courant reports.

Trump backs away from demand for border wall money
Supporters say the proposal is significant because it would retain guaranteed coverage for people with costly illnesses. Nonetheless, Trump tweeted Tuesday, "Don't let the fake media tell you that I have changed my position on the WALL.

It also emerged that Mr Dabate was having an affair, had got his mistress pregnant and was having money problems at the time of the murder - and that he tried to cash in his wife's $475,000 (£370,500) life insurance policy five days after the shooting.

Dabate was arrested and now faces charges of murder, tampering with evidence and making a false statement.

However, footage from the gym Connie goes to showed her leaving at 9:18 a.m. and information from Connie's FitBit revealed that she was moving inside her home at 10:05 a.m.

Using cellphone records, Facebook messages, and the fact that K9 dogs found no scents of a foreign individual on the property, police were able to build a case to arrest and charge Richard Dabate.

On the eve of the latest big Nintendo Switch release, yet another, albeit slightly odd , controller problem has reared its head. Interestingly, analysts are predicting that the mini Switch might expectedly replace the Nintendo 3DS very soon.

Police scoured the area but couldn't find a suspect.

Dabate is now free on a $1 million bond.

Those records showed her final movements inside the home were at 10:05am - almost an hour after Richard Dabate told detectives she had been killed by the masked intruder. He also withdrew $93,000 from her investment account. After a further physical struggle with the intruder, he ran off. Richard then hit the panic button on his alarm system and called 911. Furthermore, his claims that she died as she arrived home from the gym are brought into disrepute in the knowledge that she travelled 1,200ft since returning, after making a 125ft journey from her vehicle, the Guardian cites from police documents.

"To say it is rare to use Fitbit records would be safe", District Attorney Craig Stedman told the Hartford Courant.

Rare Briefing: Entire Senate Being Called to White House on North Korea
The Senate doesn't get briefed by four top administration officials at the White House unless there is an urgent crisis brewing. North Korea on Tuesday celebrates the anniversary of the founding of its military, a key holiday in the country.

Dabate, charged with murder was arraigned in Rockville court April 17. In 2015, police discovered that a woman lied about being raped, as the Fitbit data showed she was walking around the house at the time of the supposed incident.
