The 36th Annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service happened Monday on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The White House will be illuminated with blue lights tonight to honor law enforcement, President Trump announced Monday.

Trump signed a proclamation on Monday declaring the day "Peace Officer Memorial Day" and the upcoming week "Police Week", The Hill reports.
