Hannity says liberal fascists after sponsors; 1 is leaving

The story had remained online for nearly a week after CNN pointed out basic problems with its assertions. "Upon appropriate review, the article was found not to meet those standards".

"We will continue to investigate this story and will provide updates as warranted", the statement added.

Fox News and Cars.com did not immediately respond to a request for comment. They have hired Brad Bauman, as family spokesman.

Asked about Fox News' retraction, Hoft said it was "pretty obvious" the outlet had been pressured by liberal media outlets and advocacy organizations into removing the story from its website.

Trump, in Israel, says he has new reasons to hope for peace
At a summit in Riyadh on Sunday, Mr Trump stated again that he believed peace between Israelis and Palestinians was possible. But so far the only consistent feature of Trump's approach to the Israeli-Palestinian issue has been its unpredictability.

Fox News founder Roger Ailes famously hated to retract any reports, arguing it showed weakness and simply gave more fodder to the network's critics.

Earlier on Tuesday, Rich's brother sent a letter to Hannity's executive producer pleading with him to find "decency and kindness" in his heart and stop spreading the unproven theory.

Hannity has come under fire for continuing to push a conspiracy theory suggesting Rich, who was murdered in Washington D.C.in July, was somehow involved with the WikiLeaks dump of hacked emails belonging to Hillary Clinton's campaign. But this is especially bad because of the pain it is causing Seth Rich's family, made even more terrible by the fact that they have literally BEGGED Hannity to stop using Rich's death to further a political agenda. The next day, Fox News published an article on the subject that repeated Wheeler's claims.

The speculation about Rich's death - and its implications for an embattled president - captivated audiences in the right-wing media sphere, from Hannity's prime-time show to more obscure but influential websites like The Gateway Pundit, which rose to prominence a year ago in part by spreading rumors about Hillary Clinton's health.

Thai military hospital bomb blast injures more than 20
Officials said most people had minor wounds from flying glass. "Right now, authorities are checking out closed circuit cameras", he said.

A former law enforcement official with first-hand knowledge of Rich's laptop told NBC News definitively: "It never contained any e-mails related to WikiLeaks, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation never had it".

That bombshell, such as it was, was couched in predictable diatribes about the "destroy Trump" media and zealous Democrats intent on harming his administration: "They have been pushing this tin-foil-hat conspiracy theory", Hannity said, seemingly unaware of his own longstanding love affair with conspiratorial ideation. As far back as August, Fox host Eric Bolling compared the story to something out of the Showtime spy thriller Homeland and called Rich's killing "a hit". Over the previous week, Fox had stirred up an online riot, with the story that it dragged its feet retracting for days after it was debunked, and with the behavior of its star host Sean Hannity, who had promoted the conspiracy theory repeatedly on his show. Under Roger E. Ailes, its pugnacious former chairman who died last week, Fox News followed a mantra of "never apologize", weathering all manner of controversies over its coverage. Hannity, however, continued to peddle the discredited conspiracy theory on his Twitter account.

On Tuesday night, he went on air and announced that "out of respect for the family's wishes, for now, I am not discussing this matter at this time.".

Hannity concluded the program by saying: "hopefully, I will see you again tomorrow night". To the extent of my ability, I am not going to stop finding the truth. Among them, removal of what was an exclusive story for Fox News with investigator Rod Wheeler and stunning new developments with none other than Kim Dotcom, the internet entrepreneur, and frequent target of US law enforcement agencies. But how it got started in the first place seems to have ties to a White House official, specifically Steve Bannon.
