Trump confirms he's under investigation, fires angry tweets

The FBI probe, now in the hands of special counsel Robert Mueller, reportedly shifted its focus to allegations of obstruction in the days after Trump fired the agency's then-director James Comey on May 9.

Trump's tweet that he's being investigated "by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director" may refer to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy, a friend of the President, said earlier this week that Trump was considering firing Mueller, who has been appointed to investigate Russia's influence on the 2016 presidential election.

Roger Stone says President Trump should fire special counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for "wasting the taxpayer's money" in what he called, a "witch hunt" to take down the president.

It was not clear whether the president was basing his tweet on direct knowledge, or on reports this week that special counsel Robert Mueller is examining whether he obstructed justice by firing Mr Comey last month amid the Russian Federation probe.

Amazon plans cuts to make Whole Foods competitive with Walmart, reports say
Even still, analysts were skeptical of the idea that Bezos plans sweeping changes that would damage the Whole Foods ambiance. Meanwhile, Amazon's issues with counterfeit goods make luxury a tough market to crack, Digiday reported .

Trump's young presidency has been battered by allegations - under investigation both by Congress and the FBI - that Russian Federation interfered to sway the 2016 election in his favor, in possible collusion with Trump's campaign team. It was unclear whether his tweet about being under investigation was based on direct knowledge or new media reports that suggest Mueller is examining whether the president obstructed justice by firing Comey.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer recently confirmed President Trump's tweets are in fact official statements.

Mueller continues to hire a team of lawyers, and with FBI investigators is gathering information that is widely expected to lead to a formal investigation into whether President Trump attempted to interfere in the investigation. Rosenstein in a memo to Trump raised concerns over FBI Director James Comey.

The transition official spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss post-election decisions publicly. Comey, after all, could only testify that Trump wasn't a target of the probe as of early May, when he was sacked. An official of Trump's transition confirmed the laywer's internal order sent Thursday.

Harvard law professor Noah Feldman argues in a Bloomberg View article that Trump's tweet could force Rosenstein's recusal because of his suggestion that Comey's firing was Rosenstein's idea.

Doctors: Scalise remains critical, but 'excellent recovery' possible
The FBI recovered a cellphone, computer and camera from Hodgkinson's van and was examining them for evidence, the statement said. After Scalise was shot in the hip, the bullet traveled through his pelvis, fractured bones and injured internal organs.

A close Trump associate said this week the president was considering firing Mueller, although the White House later denied it.

The Post reports the other members include: 'former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Carter Page, who was listed as a foreign-policy adviser for the campaign'.

"Why is that Hillary Clintons family and Dems dealings with Russian Federation are not looked at, but my non-dealings are?" he asked.

"What I did is I was going to fire Comey".

Although USA Today also noted that the tweet came shortly after a Washington Post report that Mueller's team is also investigating Trump son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner's business dealings. And it's no secret that Trump has surrounded himself with people who make their money in ways that, at first glance, look pretty damn suspicious.

Throughout the decades, his rousing portrayals of victory, courage and emotion captured the hearts of generations of Americans. Released in 1984, the film centers on a bullied teenager who gains confidence after learning karate from a Japanese handyman.
