Eight-time champion Federer eases into 13th Halle semi-final

If Roger Federer plays at Wimbledon anything like he did to win his ninth Halle title by blowing Alexander Zverev off the court in 53 minutes on Sunday, he will surely be there for the final weekend of the championships at the All England Club in three weeks' time.

The Gerry Weber Open 2017 final between Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev is set to start at 1:00pm local time, 4:30pm IST and 12.00pm BST.

Defeated in his first comeback match in Stuttgart last week, 35-year-old world No.5 Federer was aggressive from the start, breaking in the first game to take control.

After clinching Grand Slam No. 18 at the Australian Open, Federer won back-to-back ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami to storm into the World Top-4 after starting the year as World No. 17.

Deputies Open Fire on Dog, Stray Round Fatally Strikes Teen
The incident occurred about 3:47 a.m. and the boy, identified by his aunt as Armando Garcia, died at 4:28 a.m.at a local hospital. Deputies at the scene said they initially responded to a report of loud music at a party.

Mayer, 33, squandered two break points at 1-0 in the second set and paid the price as Federer broke again and never relinquished his advantage to win in just over an hour.

The 28-ranked Khachanov fired a backhand long in the breaker to send Federer through to a showdown with Zverev.

Zverev defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-7 (6), 7-6 (1), 6-1, while Gasquet beat Robin Haase 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.

"Without them, it would have been very tough yesterday, and today as well, so I really appreciate everybody here coming out to support and it's going to be another fun day tomorrow", Zverev said.

Opposition to GOP Health Bill Rising
Asked by Bloomberg if he had seen the Senate version of the bill, Mr McCain responded, "No, nor have I met any American that has". The situation is prime for ridicule from Democrats , who Republicans previously accused of "rushing" Obamacare through Congress.

While Federer their initial meeting a year ago in the Rome Masters, Zverev returned the faovur a month later with a three-set victory in the Halle semi-finals. I'm very happy for him, how he's developed in the last years.

Federer will go for his ninth title in the German city, which would mark the first time he has won a tournament as many times. Zverev reached the final a year ago but lost to Mayer. "It was a hard match", he added.

Federer, who hit 11 aces and 32 winners, said facing Khachanov on Saturday will present a new challenge for him. He improved his Halle record to 57-6.

But for now, Federer will rightly revel in his glory, beating a near-certain future champion in Halle, and can now turn his attention to chasing an eighth Wimbledon crown. Khachanov however, was able to see it out, taking the final set 6-3, for a 7-6 4-6 6-3 victory.
