The Cleveland Cavaliers should pass on signing Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose is reportedly deciding between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, but his former team the Chicago Bulls may also be involved. In the latter case, ESPN's Chris Haynes has noted that the meeting between Rose and the Los Angeles Lakers earlier on Thursday lasted three hours.

He showed flashes of some vintage play a year ago, especially in his 30-point, 10-rebound performance against the Boston Celtics in mid-January. The Lakers have the full $4.3 million room exception and can promise Rose more playing time. The Bucks also have shown interest in Rose. The Cavaliers are the defending Eastern Conference champions. He would be an immediate upgrade over Jose Calderon and would be the backup point guard behind Kyrie Irving.

Matthews wins Stage 16 in Tour, Froome keeps yellow jersey
Romain Bardet (France) and Rigoberto Uran (Colombia) are also both within 30 seconds of the lead with only five stages remaining. "I'm just happy to get through today's stage", said Froome, adding he was looking forward to the race reaching the Alps.

The point guard was so dominant, that he broke up what would have been five straight MVPs for LeBron James. Both played for coach Jeff Hornacek when he was with Phoenix. If he is offered the National Basketball Association minimum salary, Rose would make $2.1 million next season due to his professional experience.

The expectations were high, as even Rose himself called the new Knicks a "super team" in a conversation with Lang Whitaker of NBA.com. Though only 28 years old, Rose has missed a total of 180 games since being crowned MVP.

Rose averaged 18 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists on 47 percent shooting in 64 games for the New York Knicks last season.

The Knicks probably will need to get a point guard through a trade.

Amazon's next big thing might rival Blue Apron
Blue Apron's stock reacted very poorly to the news of Amazon's new venture, sliding as much as 12% according to Bloomberg. Last week, shares of Zillow went down after reports of Amazon launching its own real estate referral service surfaced.

Rose, the former NBA Most Valuable Player in 2011 for the Chicago Bulls, had struggled in the recent years due to significant injuries and off-court troubles. Perhaps the biggest issue for this hypothetical pairing, if it comes to fruition, is the fact that Rose is a awful three-point shooter historically.
