Mueller Seeks White House Documents Related to Trump's Actions as President

Mueller has asked the White House for documents relating to President Donald Trump's actions since he took office, including the firing of his national security adviser and the Federal Bureau of Investigation director and a meeting with Russian officials, the New York Times reported Wednesday.

It's been clear for months that special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation is also examining whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice while he was in office.

He said the 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer, Donald Trump Jr. and others is troubling.

Mr Mueller has previously indicated to the White House that he may interview six of the president's closest present and past advisers.

With $400 million in debt owed by the company, Toys "R" Us has since brought on advisers to help plan for long-term growth. Neither have its big bets on licensed toys from movies like "Star Wars" and "Lego", as the Wall Street Journal noted.

Unnamed White House officials told the Times says Mueller has requested official documents on 13 different areas.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has made list and wants the White House to check it twice before he makes decisions on who's naughty and nice.

The request was expected, a source said.

The 2016 meeting was also attended by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and his former campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Of the 13 subjects in Mueller's document request, four are related to Flynn. Mr Flynn wasn't forced out of the White House until about three weeks later, after it was revealed that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence about his communications with a Russian official, Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. He officially resigned - reportedly at the request of the president - in February after his contacts with Russian Federation came to light.

Vice President Mike Pence says the Trump administration is focused on issues "the American people are focused on" and isn't getting distracted by investigations into Russian interference in last year's US election. The firestorm over his dismissal led to the appointment of Mueller as special counsel. Yates has said that before her firing, she had raised concerns with McGahn that Flynn was misleading White House officials on his contact with foreign figures. Comey testified under oath that the president suggested he halt the FBI's investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. "It obviously is relevant to his reasons for firing Comey, and thus to the obstruction investigation", O'Sullivan wrote.

It is not clear exactly when the conversation took place, or how long it lasted, but Rosenstein is relevant to Mueller's investigation because he authored a memorandum in May that the White House initially held up as justification for Comey's firing.

During a May 3 news briefing, Spicer said that "the president has confidence in the director".
