Trump 'sex dossier' firm backed by conservative website

Republican lawmakers on Tuesday launched investigations to examine several of President Donald Trump's longstanding political grievances, including the FBI probe of Hillary Clinton's emails and her alleged role in a sale of US uranium to a Russian firm.

The president said that Republicans were angry and united over the "lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?), the Uranium to Russian Federation deal, the 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more".

"Instead they look at phony Trump/Russia", Trump tweeted following news reports earlier this weekend that special counsel Robert Mueller now has federal grand jury charges in the Russia investigation that could be made public as early as Monday.

CNN reported in January that senior U.S. intelligence officials briefed then-President Barack Obama and President-elect Trump about the dossier just weeks before Trump's inauguration.

Earlier this week, Trump said it is "commonly agreed" that there was no collusion between his presidential bid and the Russian government, and accused Clinton of being the one who really colluded with Russia.

At times, the boy drove at speeds up to 100 miles per hour along the Turnpike, according to Highway Patrol Lt. The boy has a recent history of joyrides, taking his mother's auto for a shorter trip on October 16.

'There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out. On the one hand, it has emerged that the Clinton campaign and the DNC were behind the infamous Trump-Russia dossier that fueled the narrative that the Trump campaign colludied with Russia.

In tweets to his more than 40 million followers, Trump offered a litany of accusations against Clinton and seemed to praise Republicans for starting new congressional investigations. The president complained late last week that the news media have ignored the uranium deal while focusing on whether any of his campaign aides colluded with Russian Federation.

All the new investigations address longstanding Trump grievances. Clinton has said Comey's letter to Congress on the issue tilted the race to Trump.

The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative online publication backed by billionaire Republican mega-donor Paul Singer, said on Friday it was the original funder of the Fusion GPS project to compile opposition research on multiple Republican presidential candidates, including Trump.

According to the statement, Free Beacon representatives told the House Intelligence Committee Friday they would answer questions about the "ongoing probe of Fusion GPS and the Steele dossier".

Rep. Adam Schiff, Calif., the ranking Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said Sunday that "a lot" of the information in the dossier has been corroborated.

In the latter investigation, Republicans say they want to know why then-FBI Director James Comey publicly announced that the bureau was investigating Clinton but waited months before making a similar announcement about its inquiries into the Trump campaign.

Earlier this month, House and Senate Republican leaders announced they would investigate the uranium deal, and the House Oversight Committee launched a probe into how the FBI investigated Clinton during the campaign.

Democratic lawmakers mostly stayed out of the Sunday fray after a week in which Clinton's 2016 campaign came under fresh scrutiny.

On Tuesday The Washington Post, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter, reported that the Clinton campaign had helped fund part of the research that appeared in the dossier.
