Oklahoma's leading rusher accused of rape in woman's protective-order request

A woman filed a victim's protective order against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson on Monday in Cleveland County court. "Mr. Anderson is shocked and disturbed by (the woman's) claims".

The school said Monday it is aware of the ongoing Norman police investigation.

Anderson's attorney, Derek Chance, released a statement saying the rape accusation is untrue.

The woman who filed the order wrote in a court statement that she met Anderson at a bar on November 16 for the first time.

However, earlier today, the FCC's Inspector General's office reversed course, indicating that it will assist with the Attorney General's investigation.

The woman said she later recalled incidents she say happened inside her apartment, including forceful contact and biting. The alleged victim said she tried to get away from Anderson so she could get dressed, but he followed her and asked what she was doing.

A hearing date has been set: December 18 at 10:00 a.m.

"While we can only speculate as to (the woman's) motives in seeking a civil protective order, her claims surfaced only after Mr. Anderson did not reciprocate a desire to pursue a relationship with (the woman)", the statement said.

A lawyer representing Anderson called the allegation false and sais Anderson "will be exonerated of any wrongdoing". "However, there are those accused of sexual assault which they unequivocally did not commit - as is the case for Mr. Anderson", the statement reads. "It is incumbent on our community to reserve judgement and to treat this allegation on its own merit".

The SPD will hold a party congress in Berlin on December 7-9, where it is expected to debate its options. Schulz fronts a party which is split evenly down the middle on what he should do next.

Chance claims the woman wanted to have a relationship with Anderson after the November 16 encounter and only filed the protective order after Anderson turned her down.

Anderson is the Sooners' leading rusher, averaging nearly 6.0 yards per carry with 960 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. Over the past seven games, he has gained 1,134 yards from scrimmage - rushing and receiving - and scored 14 touchdowns. The woman claims they went to a second bar with Anderson.
